Cardio Vascular Thorasic Surgery

We have dedicated cardiothoracic and vascular surgery unit with full time cardiovascular surgeon. Dr. Vijay Andhare along with full time anesthesiologist and perfusionist.

This unit is doing maximum work in Solapur and nearby district like Latur, Ushmanabad. Average number of surgeries/ procedures performed in this department are approximately 50 per month.

Coronay artery, Bypass, Heart valve replacement, by birth congenital heart defects are corrected regularly. Vascular and Thoracic surgeries also done routinely. Till date mare than 2500 surgeries/ procedures done in this department.

For poor patients under Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana this is the only centre in nearby 4 districts doing maximum work done 1000 surgeries.

Note: Above all surgeries done almost 50% concessional rate, we charge only 75000/- for open heart surgery.

We have shifted our Cardiology and CVTS Department on entire fourth floor of new building having almost 10000 sq ft area. There is entire cardiac department with new Cardiac OT, new Cardiac Post Operative Recovery, provision for new Cath lab, Echo- Color Doppler, Air –Conditioned Rooms, Separate OPD and waiting hall for patient’s relatives.

To start with our Moto was to serve Bidi workers and Textile workers, but as days passed this Institute developed into a Tertiary Care Centre and Educational Unit . But the Moto of “To serve needy people was not changed. We are always inclined towards giving healthcare facilities to all rather than making huge profits.

Interventional Gastroenterology

Ultrasonology

a radiologic technique in which deep structures of the body are visualized by recording the reflections (echoes) of ultrasonic waves directed into the tissues.
In the nursing interventions classification, a nursing intervention defined as performance of ultrasound exams to determine ovarian, uterine, or fetal status. Frequencies in the range of 1 million to 10 million hertz are used in diagnostic ultrasonography. The lower frequencies provide a greater depth of penetration and are used to examine abdominal organs; those in the upper range provide less penetration and are used predominantly to examine more superficial structures such as the eye.
The basic principle of ultrasonography is the same as that of depth-sounding in oceanographic studies of the ocean floor. The ultrasonic waves are confined to a narrow beam that may be transmitted through or refracted, absorbed, or reflected by the medium toward which they are directed, depending on the nature of the surface they strike.
